Dr. David Ruben is from Tucson, Arizona and has lived there for most of his life. During his childhood he lived close to his grandparents, whom were immigrants and enjoyed the privilege of living in this country.
Ruben participated in both competitive and recreational sports thoughout his life. He attended the University of Arizona and Pomona College majoring in philosophy and zoology. He completed his medical training at the University of Arizona and his residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin. He also recieved his MBA degree from the University of Arizona.
Ruben's research and clinical practice focus has been on how the brain works, with an emphasis on posttraumatic stress disorder and chronic pain.
